Thats right Browns fans, you can stop rubbing your eyes, you did see that correctly. The Cleveland Browns did come away with the win this Sunday. It was deadlocked at thirty points a piece at the end of regulation play. After a failed drive by Joe Flacco and the Ravens, Josh McCown and the Browns moved the ball downfield, into kicking range, and won the game with a walk off Field Goal. The Browns won the game in overtime, 33-30.
All eyes were on Josh McCown this Sunday, as he moved the ball all over the field. McCown set a new Cleveland Browns franchise record with 457 passing yards. With receptions by Barnidge, Benjamin, and Hawkins, the Browns played a strong offensive game.
On the defensive side, Joe Haden is back in action, and clocked in three tackles for his team. Dante Whiner managed 5 tackles to help stop the Raven’s offense. There were no fumbles or interceptions in the game, but the kicking teams were of two different worlds. Travis Coons, Cleveland’s Kicker, yet again went four for four on field goals, with on succesful PAT (point after touchdown). Justin Tucker, Kicker for the Ravens, only went one for two on field goal attempts, and three successful PAT’s.
Cleveland definitely looked better than they have, but there is still a lot of season left to play. Some correspondents from ESPN, and other networks have said that this was one of the most exciting games so far of the season. We have to wait to see what the browns have up their sleeves for the rest of the season.
