The Cleveland Indians fell once again to the Houston Astros last night 4-3. Going into the bottom of the 9th inning, the tribe was down 4-2 until Jose Ramirez scored on a wild pitch to put them within one. Brandon Guyer pinch hit to try and bring the tying run across, but a flubbed check swing grounder ended the game in a loss for the Tribe.
The loss was charged to Corey Kluber as the Indians now drop two straight to the Astros. A three run home run would prove to be the downfall for the Tribe on the first inning as Marwin Gonzalez of the Astros hit his 12th HR of the season.
On a good note, the Detroit Tigers lost to the Chicago White Sox in a 2-0 shutout. Keeping the Cleveland Indians 4.5 games in the lead for the Central Division.
Carlos Carrasco on the hill tonight for Cleveland as they take on the Astros in game three of this four game series. Doug Fister will take the mound for the Houston Astros. Tonight’s game begins at 7:10pm in Cleveland.
